Are you successful? How do you define success?
Is it determined by how high you’ve climbed the monetary ladder, how prestigious a job title you’ve earned, or how well-heeled social status you’ve managed to build?
In pursuit of all of the above, do you not close yourself to the avenues that pose a risk to your material stability?
Now shift the focus a little towards your personal growth. There every tiny step you take is a step towards success because every failure is a lesson learned, taking you one step closer to your full potential. The threat of failure becomes redundant.
So what’s more meaningful? The material success or personal growth? Your calling is what has brought you to this life! You must find your calling and chase it with all that you have. But chasing your passion will not be easy…can not be easy.

Are you prepared to kick a cushioned, risk-free life in pursuit of ‘uncertainty’?

Societal pressure wires you to not take risks and jeopardize your life when you can follow the ‘safe and right’ course. That’s precisely the reason the world has so few entrepreneurs in comparison to employees. People are afraid to take risks because they do not want to handle failure.
But, if you don’t take risks, are you really risking nothing?
Is living a life that’s dull, boring, and monotonous not a risk? You may never find out true happiness. Is THAT not a risk?

Why are we so risk averse as a society when all the inventions in the world have taken place because someone took a risk?

“There are things that matter and they are worth risking your life for…your dreams, for one!
Chase your dreams for yourself.”

Never let anyone make you feel as though your dream is silly or unattainable.
Believe in yourself and what you’re trying to achieve. Be your biggest supporter.
Wear the horse blinders, and doggedly chase your dreams.
Don’t compare your chapter one to someone else’s chapter ten! Your pace is bound to be different than theirs.
Write down your short-term goals and long-term goals and understand the difference between the two.
When you feel yourself to be lacking creativity or getting frustrated with something that you’re working on, take time to unplug and let your brain rest.
Even when the odds seem to be stacked against you -
rise up, go ahead,
take that leap, and don’t stop until you have achieved your dreams!
